Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown men's tennis team defeated non-conference opponent Mount St. Mary's, 6-1, today at the McDonough Tennis Complex. The Hoyas are now 4-7 on the season with a 2-2 record in league play.
Standout performers include sophomores Andrew Clayton (Salt Lake City, Utah/Rowland Hall - St. Mark's) and Theodore Tywang (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) and freshman Kenneth Wong (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong/St. Paul's [N.H.]) and Ryan Goldstein (Salt Lake City, Utah/Rowland Hall - St. Mark's). They quartet notched straight-set wins in singles and doubles play.
Junior Bert Baggio (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) won his match at the second singles flight with a decisive 6-3, 6-0 score.
The Hoyas return to the court on Saturday, April 1 when they travel to the Tennis Complex to take on the Richmond Spiders at 1 p.m.
