Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's tennis team swept Mount St. Mary's, 7-0, to improve to 2-5 on the year. Junior Liz Winokur (West Palm Beach, Fla./Cardinal Newman) lost one game on the entire day with an 8-1 win at the second doubles flight and a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the first singles flight.
Winokur paired with sophomore Adriann Gin (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) in the doubles; Gin won her singles match, 6-3, 6-1 at the fourth singles flight. Also pulling double-duty with wins in singles and doubles were junior Eileen Boyle (Burr Ridge, Ill./St. Ignatius Prep) and freshman Natalie Newman (Wayzata, Minn./Blake) and Courtney Olsen (Englewood, Colo./Colorado Academy).
The Hoyas return to the court on Saturday, April 1 when they host West Virginia at the McDonough Tennis Complex. The match is slated for noon.
