Georgetown Women's Crew Fall to Navy and Princeton

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's crew program was in action on Saturday battling Princeton in lightweight competition, while on Sunday, the Hoyas heavyweight squad took on the U.S. Naval Academy.

In the match against Princeton, Georgetown hung close in the varsity eight, rowing a time of 7:21.4, only 5.3 seconds behind the Tigers.

Meanwhile, at Navy, the Georgetown varsity eight boat finished less than a second behind the second Navy boat and less than seven seconds behind the first Navy eight. In the varsity four, the Hoyas novice boat cruised past Navy with a time of 8:12.78, more than 10 seconds faster. Finally, in the novice eight, Georgetown narrowly squeezed by the Navy `B' eight by eight-tenths of a second.
