Two Georgetown women's golfers stand among the top-10 overall and the Hoya women's golf team is in sixth place at the Shootout at the Legends, being held at the par-72, 6,356-yard Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Franklin, Indiana.
The Hoyas shot an eight-over par 296 in the first round and are in sixth place in the 13-team field with a two round score of 34-over par 610. Eastern Michigan and Illinois are tied for first place at 19-over par 595, followed by Grand Valley State (25-over par 601), Illinois State (27-over par 603) and Ball State (28-over par 604).
The Hoyas are being led by senior Jenna Winokur (Springlake, N.J./Wall), who is in fifth place in the field of 77 golfers with a four-over par 148. Winokur carded rounds of one-over par 73 and three-over par 75. Junior teammate Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) is one of five golfers tied for fifth place at six-over par 150.
Seniors Katie Dwyer (Allentown, Pa./Moravian Academy) is tied for 28th place at 12-over par 156, junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) is tied for 41st place at 15-over par 159 and freshman Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) is tied for 60th place at 20-over par 164.
The final round of the tournament will be held on Tuesday.
