GEORGETOWN COACH John Thompson III

(On close game) "I think we handled it okay, it's something we have to experience and just the understanding that regardless of the flow of the game, as long as we stay constant, as long as we stay consistent, as long as we give the effort, as long as we all are on the same page, more often then that outcome will be OK. A lot of times we just have to focus on us."

(On team) "I don't look at our team in terms of pieces, it's a group. This group more so then any group I've had where on any given night because of match-ups, because of scouting reports, because of how the stars align, guys are going to be able to put points on the board."

(On Greg Monroe having 6 FG attempts) "We'll work through that, there's no number that I come in and say hey, he has to get this he has to get that. We put the ball in his hands and I've said, he does a good job. We have an unselfish team. He has belief and confidence in his teammates, and he got the ball. There was a stretch there, coming down the end we went into him a couple times and he took a couple shots. He had a couple assists during that time."

GEORGETOWN FORWARD DaJuan Summers

(On active defense) "It makes it a lot better to be able to pressure the offense. Take away threes and make them drive."

(on knocking down shots) "No matter how the game is going, I feel like as a veteran of this team I can contribute. At practice I get frustrated if I don't just hit it instantly, just playing hard is what coach keeps stressing to me."

GEORGETOWN FORWARD Austin Freeman

(on Wichita State sticking in the game) "They out rebounded us. Plain and simple, they played hard. We had a couple mistakes a couple, a couple lapses that they capitalized on."
