Baltimore, Md. - Baltimore, Md. - The Georgetown women's tennis team opened its fall schedule at the Towson University Fall 4+1 Invitational by defeating Saint Joseph's University, Mount St. Mary's University and Loyola College during play on Saturday.
Freshmen Michelle Brown (Los Angeles, Calif./Marlborough School) and Jacquie Harrison (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon) went undefeated on the weekend, as Brown earned a victory at No. 1 singles against Loyola. Jacquie Harrison won 3 singles matches and freshman Aileen Shea (Great Falls, Va./The Potomac School) was 1-1 in singles play.
The Hoyas received strong play from its upperclassmen, as sophomores Caroline Kuehn and Maxi Thiels each went 1-1 in singles play, while Alex Sebia went undefeated in doubles play.
The Hoyas are back in action beginning, Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21 at the University of Maryland Invitational Tournament in College Park, Maryland.
