Head Coach Arlisa Williams
On the Hoyas win against Davidson...
"Basically our team got better from beginning to end," head coach Arlisa Williams said. "The first game we started out a little bit slow and were giving points away, but Davidson started out slow as well. Our passing picked up and blocking was something we worked on all week and it picked up considerably from where we were last week."
On Georgetown's improvement within the match...
"In the first game we weren't really passing the free balls and we were leaving some digs out there. In game two we started to be more consistent passing wise and we were picking up some balls defensively which allows us to run our offense. In game three we started blocking balls which definitely helps us because it started taking the wind out of Davidson.

On starting the season 3-1...
It's been important for us to come out and not make as many errors as we have in previous seasons. We've gone out there and been confident and played how we practiced.
On Georgetown's improvement within the match...
We weren't quite ready for their different style, so we got a little sloppy and a little confused. As the game went on we were able to make a lot of adjustments and became a lot more disciplined. We saw what are problem areas were and we were able to adjust and execute.
On blocking... We struggled with blocking in our last tournament so we worked all week on actually pressing over and closing. Before we were all blocking individually where as today we were getting set up next to each other and going after the ball together.
