The Georgetown women's golf team posted its best round of the weekend in the final round of play and finished in 13th place at the LPGA International Xavier Invitational, held at LPGA Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Hoyas shot a 20-over par 308 in the final round and finished in 13th place with a 54-hole score total of 78-over par 942 .
Daytona State College topped the 15-team with a three round score of 17-over par 881, seven strokes ahead of second place Campbell. Stetson placed third at 31-over par 895, while host Xavier finished in fourth at 41-over par 905 and Augusta State was fifth at 43-over par 907.
Daytona State's Amy West posted consecutive rounds of 2-under par 70 in the final two rounds and claimed medalist honors with a score of 3-under par 213.
Sophomore Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) tied for 22nd place to lead Georgetown, shooting a 12-over par 228. Dulieu, who was tied for ninth place after the first round, shot an 8-over par 80 in the second round and a 2-over par 74 in the final round.
Sophomore Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) posted rounds of 4-over par 76 and 3-over par 75 to tie for 32nd place at 15-over par 231.
Freshman Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) finished in 57th place at 24-over par 240 after carding better scores in the final two rounds with a 6-over par 78 and 4-over par 76, respectively.
Freshman Simone Strauss (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert) tied for 66th place at 29-over par 245 and freshman Jordan Redfield (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) finished in 80th place at 39-over par 255.
Playing as an individual competitor, freshman Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) tied for 62nd place at 28-over par 244.
Georgetown plays next on Oct. 19-20 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C.
