Larrabee Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Oct. 26, 2009

WASHINGTON - Senior midfielder Scott Larrabee (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif./Loyola of Los Angeles) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this past week after a pair of outstanding performances as the Hoyas went 1-1 in league play. This marks Larrabee's second-career weekly honor after earning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as a junior.

Larrabee scored a pair of goals in two BIG EAST games including the game winner in a huge comeback victory over West Virginia. On Wednesday, he tallied his first goal of the season against Notre Dame to tie it up and send the game into overtime. On Saturday, he was part of Georgetown's comeback scoring the game winner with just two minutes remaining in regulation. Larrabee headed the ball to control it and hit a composed shot to give Georgetown the 2-1 victory after trailing for much of the game.

The senior ranks fifth on the team in scoring with two goals and as many assists for six points on the year. He has started all 16 games this season and has 25 career points to his credit.

Georgetown is currently 9-6-1 overall and 6-4 in BIG EAST play heading into its final conference game of the season this Saturday against Providence. The Hoyas sit in third place in the BIG EAST's Blue Division with 18 points they have already clinched a BIG EAST Tournament berth.

The Blue & Gray will face cross-town rival American on Wednesday at North Kehoe Field. Live stats and a webcast will be available at www.GUHoyas.com. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
