WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University volleyball team (11-14, 1-8 BIG EAST) takes on Villanova Wildcats on Sunday, November 1 at 2 p.m. at the Jake Nevin Field House in Villanova, Pa. The Georgetown squad looks to snap a six-match losing streak against BIG EAST competition.

The Hoyas defeated the Wildcats a year ago, as Vanessa Dorismond (Cary, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) had nine kills and hit .500, while Jessica Hardy had 10 kills and 11 digs.

In their last match GU fell to USF, 3-0 on Saturday. In the loss, Georgetown's offense was led by Dorismond, who had 14 kills and hit .303, but it was not enough to overcome the Bulls front line including defending BIG EAST Player of the Week Marcela Gurgel, who also finished with 14 kills.
