Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's tennis team was topped by Rutgers 7-0 in a BIG EAST match on Saturday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights improve to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference, while the Hoyas (3-12, 0-4) had their two-match winning streak snapped.
The Scarlet Knights won all six singles matches in straight sets as Maxi Thiels took the most games (six) of any Hoya on the day. The closest doubles match came at the No. 2 position as Aileen Shea and Alex Sebia lost a 6-5 (1) decision to Arlak and Christine Tran.
The Georgetown women return to action on Tuesday, March 31 against West Virginia at 2 p.m. at the McDonough Tennis Courts.
