Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University women's tennis team earned victories in four of their five singles matches on the first day of the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md.
Nora Montgomery continued her solid play to start the season with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win over Nova Southeastern's Lily Rasmussen.
Michelle Pratt won a hard-fought battle with Syracuse's Victoria Ford, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-5, Alex Sebia knocked off Nova Southeastern's Justine Feaster and Victoria Sekely beat Ivana Petrich of Delaware
Alexandra Landers and Samantha Martin picked up a win in doubles action, taking their match 8-5 from the GW duo of Michele Style and Jennifer Hirsh.
