Georgetown Men's Crew Trains on the Broad River

Jan. 14, 2010

COLUMBIA, S.C. -

The Georgetown University men's crew braved the surprisingly low temperatures in Columbia, South Carolina, as they used the holiday break to train on the Broad River in preparation for the EARC Eastern Sprints season on the horizon.

"We had some unseasonably cold temperatures during the trip but it was sunny almost every day," Novice heavyweight coach Michael Guerrieri said. "Once the athletes started moving they warmed up quickly and we were able to get in some good work."

While the Hoyas trained on the Broad River a photographer from The State, the daily newspaper in Columbia, South Carolina, captured the action. To see how Georgetown men's heavyweight crew spent their break CLICK HERE.
