WASHINGTON - Hey guys, I'm Ashley Malone, a junior setter double majoring in Marketing and Management. So this year we've got a lot of new talent, and now that Vanessa is back with us fully healed, we've really been able to play with the lineups and put out a great arsenal of hard hitters. When we took on undefeated Syracuse this past Friday, we came out strong and crushed them in game one. Unfortunately, errors built up and we broke down in the next three games. Marquette was another challenging opponent on Sunday, but we managed to come back from the largest deficit yet this year to win in five - it was definitely exciting. Practice this week has been tough; with mid-week games out of the way and our BIG EAST schedule in full swing, we are not only practicing longer during the week but also getting into the weight room twice a week in addition to any extra reps or video sessions. All our hard work should pay off as this weekend we face DePaul and Notre Dame. Come support us on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.!
