WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the Tribe Invitational, hosted by William and Mary University. The tournament will take place at The Hollows Golf Course in Montpelier, Va. The course is a par 71 and will play 5,829 yards.
The 11 teams participating are William and Mary, Old Dominion, Morehead State, Towson, St. Francis (Pa.), Western Carolina, Wofford, Mt. St. Mary's, Georgetown, and Hampton.
Georgetown placed 13th this past weekend at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C., where they finished with a score of 77-over par 929.
After ending the first round tied for 46th, junior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished tied for 35th overall with a 16-over par 229. She shot a second round 74 (+2), and a third round 75 (+3). Junior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) also had a strong finish, scoring a third round 75 (+3), and finished tied for 54th.
Sophomore Jordan Redfield (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./ Beechwood) and freshman Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Holy Cross) finished tied for 66th and 69th, respectively. Redfield notched a second round 76 (+4), and finished the tournament with a 23-over par 236. Choi shot a second round 73 (+1). Her three rounds culminated in a 24-over par 237.Freshman Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) shot a third round 78 (+6) on her way to a 28-over par 241.
The teams will be playing 18 holes both Saturday and Sunday with tee times starting at 8 a.m. on both the 1st and 10th tees.
