WASHINGTON - Georgetown University men's soccer senior Jose Colchao (Fairfax, Va./Lake Braddock Secondary School) and freshman Steve Neumann (New Hope, Pa./Council Rock North) both earned BIG EAST Player of the Week awards as the Hoyas went 2-0 last week in a pair of conference matchups. It marks Neumann's second-consecutive Rookie of the Week honor and Colchao's first BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award.

Colchao helped the Hoyas to their sixth-straight win with two goals and two assists last week. He had a goal in Georgetown's 6-0 victory at Seton Hall before having a hand in all three goals in a 3-1 win at home against Villanova. The forward assisted on the game winner to defeat the Wildcats. Colchao ranks second on the team in scoring with four goals and two assists for 10 points on the season.

Neumann earned his second-straight Rookie of the Week honor after scoring 10 points in two games with four goals and two assists this week. He had two goals and an assist in each BIG EAST contest. He scored the game-winning goal against the Wildcats and had four goals with four shots on goal, with a total of six shots. The midfielder leads the team with eight goals and six assists for 22 points. He is also tied for first in points in the conference and ranks sixth in the nation.

Georgetown is 8-4-1 on the year and 4-1 in the BIG EAST to tie Connecticut for the lead of the Blue Division. The Hoyas have won their last six games including three on the road. The six-game win streak is the longest for the program since the 1997 season.

The Blue & Gray will travel to Pittsburgh for a BIG EAST matchup on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
