WASHINGTON - Ayo Hoyas! My name is Sam Trauth and I am a senior outside hitter from Naperville, Ill. We came out of last weekend with a tough 3-2 loss to USF. It hurt to let that one slip away, but we saw that being up 2-0 in the match does not secure a win and every BIG EAST team is fighting for a spot in the tournament. This week we have been hitting practice hard in order to prepare for play at Cincinnati (currently No. 23-ranked) and Louisville (always at the top of the BIG EAST). The great thing about the BIG EAST conference is that every weekend is a BIG weekend. We have to bring our best game every time we step on the court and this weekend will push us to see how bad we want a spot in the tournament. So cheer us on as we travel to beat the Bearcats and Cardinals on their home courts!
