WASHINGTON - The Georgetown volleyball squad (12-8, 2-2 BIG EAST) will take on West Virginia (12-7, 2-2 BE) on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and Pittsburgh (8-11, 3-1 BE) on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.
In the Hoyas' last match against Notre Dame, Kortney Robinson (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove) notched seven kills while Ashley Malone (San Jose, Calif./St. Francis) tallied 24 assists, seven digs, and four kills in the 3-0 loss. Malone leads the squad with a .373 hitting percentage while Robinson leads the team with 200 kills on the season.
The Blue & Gray are 1-3 against West Virginia under Head Coach Arlisa Williams. In the Mountaineers' last match against Rutgers, Abby Norman recorded nine kills and a .583 hitting percentage while Bonnie West tallied 15 digs in the 3-0 win.
The Hoyas are 2-2 against Pittsburgh under Williams. In the Panthers' last match against Seton Hall, Imani Harper notched 19 kills and Margy Acton recorded 24 digs in the 3-2 win.
After this weekend's competition, the Hoyas return home to take on USF on Saturday, Oct. 16 at noon.
