MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Georgetown University women's tennis team fell to BIG EAST rival West Virginia, in a tough 4-3 loss at the Ridgeview Raquet Club on Friday afternoon.
After dropping the doubles point, the Hoyas captured the top two singles spots, before falling in the third. Junior Caroline Kuehn put Georgetown back in front with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the Mountaineers' Kathryn Haught.
The Hoyas were unable to close out the match, as Jacquie Harrison fell 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles spot to Emily Mathis. Alex Sebia lost in three sets to Ashley Pilsbury, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.
