Women's Basketball to Hold 2010 Summer Camp

April 27, 2010

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball squad will host its annual summer camp at McDonough Arena July 5-8. The camp is open to girls ages 8-18 and includes both overnight and commuter options.

Georgetown University Girls Basketball Camp is designed to teach, develop and improve skills for all the positions on the court. A typical day will include drills, guest speakers, tactical lectures and scrimmages. Campers will be housed in the dorms and provided all-you-can-eat meals in the Leo O'Donovan Dining Hall.

Georgetown Head Coach Terri Williams-Flournoy and staff come to the camp with over 20 years of coaching experience. This past season, Williams-Flournoy led the Hoyas to a 26-7 overall record, tying for second place in the BIG EAST Conference and the squad's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1993. Additionally, the Hoyas were nationally ranked for the second half of the season and were known as one of the best defensive squads in the country.

Campers will learn fundamentals from the Georgetown staff and players as well as coaches from the area.
