CHERRY HILL, N.J. - The Georgetown University men's heavyweight varsity four, consisting of stroke Andrew Federer, Bryan Chismar, Patrick Opdyke, Joe Ledvina and cox John Geager earned a second place finish in the men's varsity four heat, finishing in a time of 6:29.932 behind only Washington.

The men's varsity four will race in the semifinals on Friday during the 10 a.m. hour.

The Hoyas sent its heavyweight varsity four along with its lightweight varsity eight to the 108th Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship Regatta at the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J.

The Georgetown lightweight eight will begin racing on Saturday.
