Junior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) tied for sixth place overall and the Georgetown University women's golf team finished in fourth place among 12 teams at the Princeton Invitational, held this weekend at Springdale Golf Club in New Jersey.
The Hoyas shot a three-round score of 44-over par 908, finishing 12 shots behind tournament champion Yale, who topped the field at 32-over par 896. Princeton was second at 35-over par 899, while Penn finished in third place at 43-over par 907.
Yale's Seo Hee Moon fired a 3-under par 213 and topped the field of 65 golfers.
Jo led a Hoya lineup that had three players finish among the top-20 overall. She tied for sixth place overall, carding an 8-over par 224. Jo's best round was a 1-over par 73 in Saturday's first round.
In her first collegiate event, freshman Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Holy Cross) tied for 12th place, shooting a 10-over par 226. Choi posted a 6-over par 78 in the first round but closed out the weekend with rounds of 3-over par 75 and 1-over par 73, respectively.
Sophomore Jordan Redfield (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) had the best finish of her career, tying for 20th place at 15-over par 231.
Other finishers for the Hoyas included sophomore Simone Strauss (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert), who tied for 26th place at 16-over par 232, and junior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day), who tied for 35th place at 22-over par 238.
The Hoyas play again on Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Lady Northern Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The tournament concludes on Monday, Sept. 27.
