WASHINGTON - Junior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) was tied for 12th place overall and the Georgetown University women's golf team is in fifth place after the first round of play at the Badger Invitational, being hosted by the University of Wisconsin at the University Ridge Golf Course.
Host Wisconsin shot a 6-over par 582 and led the field of 11 teams by eight strokes, ahead of second place Augusta State (14-over par 590). Xavier was third at 18-over par 594, with Iowa fourth at 20-over par 596 and the Hoyas are fifth at 36-over par 612.
Dulieu posted scores of 5-over par 77 and 1-over par 73 to finish at 6-over par 144 and was one of four players tied for 12th place overall.
Junior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) and sophomore Jordan Redfield (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) were tied for 19th place at 9-over par 153. She shot rounds of 5-over par 77 and 4-over par 76, respectively, while Redfield had a 6-over par 78 in the first round and a 3-over par 75 in the second round.
Freshman Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Holy Cross) is tied for 36th place at 12-over par 156 (two rounds of 6-over par 78) and sophomore Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy)) is tied for 54th place at 13-over par 167.
Playing as an individual, freshman Molly Plomaritis (Boston, Mass./Grimsley [N.C.]) is in 60th place at 17-over par 181.
The final round of play concludes on Monday.
