WASHINGTON - Georgetown volleyball will host four summer camp sessions in July. Head Coach Arlisa Williams opened the Georgetown Volleyball 2011 Camp registration this week. Over 60 girls, ages eight to 18, will be given the opportunity to train with the Georgetown staff at McDonough Arena.
The camps will be split into three Day Camp sessions and one All Skills Camp. The Youth Day Camp, for girls ages eight to 12, will be held from July 11 to July 15. During that time, there will also be a Setter/Hitter Day Camp, held from July 11 to July 12 for girls ages 13-18, and a Libero Day Camp, held from July 13 to July 14 for girls ages 13-18. The all skills camp, for girls ages 11-18, will be held from July 18 to July 21.
The Day Camps will provide individual instruction and will be limited to 24 campers. The All Skills Camp offers residential and commuter options. The camp will be limited to 60 total campers, ensuring each camper gets personalized attention with a 1:9 staff to camper ratio. We can house 40 in the residence halls.
Campers will be trained on the fundamentals of the game. Experienced campers will be trained as the Georgetown coaches train the Hoyas. Training will include offensive and defensive systems as well as game play.
