Neumann came off of the bench in all 19 contests and appeared in all 20. He led the BIG EAST in points points per game with 1.40 and points with 28. He ranked second in goals with 10 and fifth in assists with eight. His four game winners tied him for third in the conference. Neumann was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week twice this season and earned a spot on the conference's All-Rookie Team.
This is GU's first All-Freshman Team honor from Soccer America and the program's second from College Soccer News. Jeff Curtin ('06) was named to the All-Freshman First Team in 2002.
Georgetown posted one of its most successful seasons in program history with a record of 12-6-2 and a mark of 7-2 in BIG EAST play. The Blue & Gray won the BIG EAST Blue Division Championship and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 1997. The Hoyas defeated UNC Greensboro, 3-0, in the opening round of the tournament marking just the second NCAA Tournament win in the program's history. GU tied North Carolina in the second round, but failed to advance in penalty kicks. The Tar Heels went on to the College Cup.
