Nov. 1, 2011

WASHINGTON - Freshman Tom Skelly (Albuquerque, N.M./Shattuck St. Mary's) was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week as the Hoyas earned the sixth seed in the league's Blue Division on Tuesday. Skelly recorded six points, netting two goals and giving out two assists to take part in four of the Hoyas' six goals in a 6-2 win against Pittsburgh on Oct. 26. His two goals came on three shots and he assisted on the game winner. It is his first-career BIG EAST honor.

The Hoyas are the sixth seed in the conference tournament which begins on Thursday.
