Freshman Forward Adams Out Indefinitely

Dec. 10, 2011

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Men's Basketball Coach John Thompson III announced today that freshman forward Tyler Adams (Brandon, Miss./Brandon) will be out indefinitely due to health concerns.

Adams is undergoing a series of tests and evaluations regarding his heart at Georgetown University Hospital. Until further notice, he will not participate in any basketball-related activities until cleared.

"Tyler's health is our only concern," Thompson said. "We're following doctor's orders and when he returns to us is irrelevant. His health is at the forefront of our concerns."

Adams has appeared in four games this season, averaging 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds. He scored eight points and had six rebounds in a win over NJIT last Saturday.
