Hoyas Drop a Decision at Penn

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's tennis team fell at the University of Pennsylvania on Friday by a score of 4-3. Despite three victories, the Blue & Gray couldn't come away with the win. The Hoyas fall to 3-8 on the season.

Georgetown picked up the doubles point as Alex Sebia and Madeline Jaeger won 8-6 at No. 3. At No. 2, Vicky Sekely and Tina Tehrani had the 8-6 victory as the Hoyas went up, 1-0.

In singles play, Penn went up 2-1 after winning at No. 1 and No. 5. The Hoyas tied it up as Jaeger won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6. However, the Quakers won the next two matches to secure the victory despite Tehrani's 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 battle at No. 4.

The Hoyas will be back home on Wednesday hosting the Howard University Bison at 3 p.m., at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex.
