Men's Soccer to Hold Second Annual Spring Charity Game

April 4, 2011

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will host George Mason on April 9 at Multi-Sport Field in its second annual spring charity game under the lights. The Blue & Gray has already played three spring games this season going 2-0-1 with wins over Loyola (Md.) and Navy as well as a tie against William & Mary.

The charity game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations for Georgetown's Relay for Life which benefits the American Cancer Society are being accepted by the student-athletes.

The team will also be holding a raffle for the charity with the grand prize-winner receiving an Apple iPad 2. Fans can purchase raffle tickets for $10 each at the gate, raffle tickets also include a free burger and drink from the concessions stand.

For those unable to attend, tickets can be purchased through any men's soccer student-athlete or through the men's soccer office located in McDonough Arena Room E222. The grand prize winner does not need to be in attendance to win the iPad 2.

The game will also include activities at halftime and a full concession stand.
