WASHINGTON - Fresh off of a gold medal at the World University Games in China, Georgetown University Head Women's Basketball Coach Terri Williams-Flournoy will be the guest speaker at the Washington Mystics Chalk Talk on Sunday, August 28 at Verizon Center.
Fans are invited to attend the pregame talk from 2-3 p.m. where Williams-Flournoy will give an NCAA update & scouting report, talk about life as a college athlete and what it takes for a player to make it in the WNBA. Following the talk, fans can stick around to watch the Mystics take on the Phoenix Mercury at 4 p.m.
After three 20-win seasons and the program's second-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, Williams-Flournoy has built Georgetown into one of the premier programs in the area. This past year, the Blue & Gray had five wins over nationally-ranked opponents and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the second time in program history before narrowly falling to top-seeded Connecticut. She also helped the U.S. team to a gold medal at the 2011 World University Games in China as an assistant coach.
Fans can purchase tickets for Sunday's Chalk Talk through the Washington Mystics official website.
