WASHINGTON - Georgetown University sophomore goalkeeper Tomas Gomez (Webster Groves, Mo./Webster Groves) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. The Hoyas went 1-0 last week and Gomez posted seven saves in the victory.

In the 1-0 victory at Providence College in BIG EAST Blue Division on Wednesday, Gomez managed seven saves and his fourth shutout of the season. The Hoyas are currently 13-2-1 overall and 4-2 in BIG EAST Conference play.

Gomez has 35 saves in 10 games on the season with a record of 9-0-1. He also has four shutouts to his credit along with a GAA of 0.68.

This is his first honor this season and the seventh nod to the honor roll for the Blue & Gray.

The Blue & Gray will be back in action on Wednesday as the team begins a two-game series with Seton Hall University to close out the regular season. The first game will be played in New Jersey and is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Live stats will be available at the Seton Hall athletic website.
