BARCELONA, Spain - The team woke up and enjoyed a nice day at Barcelona's training grounds called La Masia to watch the U-17 Barcelona squad play another Third Division team in Spain.
The complex was stellar, and the game had some real quality. Barcelona's U-17 team will be producing some stars in the future. The final score of the game was 5-1 to Barcelona, a result that we anticipated.
After the game, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at a local buffet. The food was average, at best, but everyone seemed to enjoy the ice cream.
From the buffet, we went to downtown Barcelona, and it was like nothing anyone has seen before.
The architecture was astounding, and the streets were filled with side show acts and gypsies (mostly nice guys). The team was originally planning on going to the Picasso Museum, but the line spanned an entire block down the street so we decided to trek down to the beach.
The beach was beautiful and the boardwalk added a nice platform to gaze at the city.
Tommy (Muller) dared (Austin) Martz to run in the water and, sure enough, Martz stripped down to his boxers and ran straight in.
Overall, it was a great day; I will be back on the blog tomorrow.
Over and Out,
Tyler
