Princeton Day 1 
Sophomore Charlie vonArentschildt (Scottsdale, Ariz./Deerfield Academy) is in second place and the Georgetown men's golf team is in first place after the first day of play at the Princeton Invitational, being hosted by Princeton University at the Springdale Golf Club in New Jersey.
The Hoyas lead the 14-team field at 7-over par 575, tied for the team lead with Yale. Columbia is a close third at 8-over par 576, Harvard is fourth at 9-over par 577 and Princeton rounds out the top-five at 10-over par 578.
VonArentschildt led Georgetown with a 3-under par 139, firing rounds of 2-under par 69 and 1-under par 70, respectively. He is tied for second in the field of 70 golfers, one shot off the pace of Harvard's Tony Grillo, the leader at 4-under par 138.
Freshman Greg Podufal (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) is tied for 11th place at 2-over par 144. Podufal posted scores of 1-under par 70 and 3-over par 74, respectively.
Senior Taylor Hall (Roswell, Ga./Trinity Catholic) is tied for 20th place at 5-over par 147 after rounds of 4-over par 75 and 1-over par 72.
Senior Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) and junior Justin Edwards (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake Village) are tied for 28th place at 6-over par 148. Dorfman had a 2-over par 73 in the first round and a 3-over par 74 in the second round. Edwards struggled in the first round at 6-over par 77, but bounced back with an even-par 71 in the second round.
Georgetown will tee off on Sunday at 9:25 a.m.
