Sophomore Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) finished in a tie for 10th place individually and the Georgetown University women's golf team finished in sixth place among 20 teams at the Rutgers Women's Invitational, played on the par-72, 6,034-yard Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscatway, N.J.
Delaware shot a 13-over par 301 in the final round and finished with a two-day total of 27-over par 603 to win the event. Seton Hall was second at 32-over par 608, followed by St. John's (41-over par 617) in third, Long Island in fourth (42-over par 618) and FDU in fifth (49-over par 625).
Georgetown shot a 23-over par 311 in the final round to finish in sixth place at 50-over par 626.
Boydston led the Hoyas, shooting a 5-over par 77 in the second round to tie for 10th place at 9-over par 153.
Sophomores Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) and Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) posted team-best rounds of 4-over par 76, respectively, on Tuesday. Lee finished in a tie for 28th place at 14-over par 158, while DiVincentis and freshman Kelly Hwang (Moorestown, N.J./IMG Academy) tied for 36th place at 16-over par 160.
Freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) tied for 48th place at 17-over par 161.
Georgetown closes out the fall season October 27-28, competing at the Lehigh Invitational.
