Georgetown in Seventh Place at BIG EAST Championship

The Georgetown women's golf team shot a 21-over 309 and is seventh place with a two round score of 38-over par 614 after the second round of the BIG EAST Championship, being held on the Watson Course in Reunion, Fla.

Notre Dame shot a 3-under par 285 in the second round and moved into first place after trailing by seven strokes with a 36-hole score of 3-over par 579, one shot ahead of Louisville, in second place at 4-over par 580.

Only 12 shot separate third place (Cincinnati, 26-over par 602) and seventh place Georgetown (38-over par 614). Seton Hall is fourth at 27-over par 603, with St. John's fifth (29-over par 605) and South Florida sixth (36-over par 612). Rutgers is in eighth place at 46-over par 622.

Freshmen Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) shot a 5-over par 77 in the second round and is tied for 15th place at 8-over par 152.

She is one shot ahead of junior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) and freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch), who are tied for 17th place at 9-over par 153. Choi carded a 6-over par 78 in the second round and Lee posted 4-over par 76, respectively.

Senior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) is tied for 32nd place at 14-over par 158 and senior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) is in 35th place at 15-over par 159.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
