The Georgetown University women's golf team shot a 21-over par 309 in the first round and is in seventh place among 12 teams after the first round of play at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, being played at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Denver, Colo.
Kansas leads the field at 1-over par 289, two shots ahead of Kansas State, in second at 3-over par 291. Long Beach State is third at 5-over par 293, while host Denver is fourth at 13-over par 301 and Nebraska is fifth at 18-over par 306. Northern Colorado is in sixth place at 19-over par 307.
Junior Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) is Georgetown's top golfer, standing in a tie for 22nd place at four-over par 76.
Junior Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) and freshman Lauren Gros (Windermere, Fla./Windermere Prep) each posted scores of 5-over par 77 and are tied for 27th place, while freshman Jacquelyn Eleey (Quincy, Mass./The Taft School) carded a 7-over par 79 and is tied for 38th place.
Sophomore Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) is in 71st place at 13-over par 85.
