The Georgetown University men's golf team finished sixth overall at the Temple Invitational at the par-70 Philmont Country Club after shooting a team score of 26-over par 306 on Sunday afternoon.
The Blue & Gray slipped back to sixth after being tied with Hartford for second place after the tournament's first day. Host Temple held on for the tournament victory, shooting 572 over 36 holes. Hartford and Rhode Island rounded out the top three.
Freshman Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) led the Hoyas, finishing tied for eighth overall, shooting a six-over par 76 for a 147 over two rounds. Freshman Sam Madsen shot a five-over par 75 on Sunday to finish 19th overall at 149.
Freshman Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean) tied for 20th overall, shooting an 11-over par 81 after a first day one-under par 69. Junior Raleigh Chapin (Doylestown, Pa./New Hope Solebury) improved by three strokes on Sunday, shooting a team-best four-over par 74 to finish 25th overall at 151.
