The Georgetown University women's golf team shot a 32-over par 320 and stands in 13th place among 14 teams after the second round of play at the Nittany Lion Invitational, being hosted by Penn State at the Blue Course in State College, Pa.
The Hoyas had been tied for eighth place after a first round score of 21-over par 309. The three-day tournament, being played on the par-72 course at a total of 6,328 yards, concludes on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Columbia shot a 13-over par 301 in the second round and leads the 14-team field at 22-over par 598, one stroke ahead of second place Yale (23-over par 599). Harvard is in third place (26-over par 602), Western Michigan is in fourth place (27-over par 603) and Akron and Princeton are tied for fifth place at 35-over par 611.
The Hoyas are in 13th place at 53-over par 629.
Junior Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) is tied for 23rd place at 8-over par 152 to lead Georgetown. She shot a 6-over par 78 on Saturday.
Junior Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) is tied for 36th place with a 12-over par 156 after carding an 8-over par 80 in the second around and freshman Jacquelyn Eleey (Quincy, Mass./The Taft School) shot a 9-over par 81 and is tied for 51st place at 16-over par 160.
Freshman Lauren Gros (Windermere, Fla./Windermere Prep) is tied for 57th place at 17-over par 161 after a 9-over par 81 in the second round and sophomore Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) is in 72nd place at 23-over par 167.
Freshman Christine Schmitt (Pittsford, N.Y./Mercy) is tied for 78th place at 27-over par 171, while sophomore Kelly Hwang (Moorestown, N.J./IMG Academy), playing as an individual, is in 80th place at 28-over par 172.
