WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week and junior forward Dominique Vitalis (Bloomfield, N.J./Gill St. Bernard) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday after an outstanding start to the season for both the Hoyas. These are the conference's first weekly awards of the 2014-15 season.

Adomako became the second-straight Georgetown rookie to tally a double-double in her collegiate debut with a 17-point, 14-rebound showing in Friday's 88-75 home win over the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore (UMES). The BIG EAST Preseason Freshman of the Year followed that performance up with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists at the University of Richmond in a 65-57 loss on Sunday.

Vitalis recorded her second-career double-double in the Hoyas' season-opening win over UMES with 19 points and 10 rebounds. She followed with another 19-point showing at Richmond, adding eight rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Georgetown is currently 1-1 on the season under first-year Head Coach Natasha Adair.
