WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (2-7) will make the short trip down M Street to take on the George Washington University Colonials (6-2) at the Smith Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The contest will be broadcast regionally on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.

Trailing by just five points at the half, the squad couldn't keep that pace in the second to fall to the Princeton University Tigers, 83-54, Saturday afternoon at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Freshman guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) led the four Hoyas in double figures with 12 points in the contest. Sophomore guard Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) added 11 points, while junior guard Katie McCormick (Leonardtown, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) posted 10 points on the afternoon. Junior forward Dominique Vitalis (Bloomfield, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's) had 10 points and a squad-high eight rebounds for the Blue & Gray.

Georgetown was outrebounded, 52-35, and shot 34.5 percent from the field, while the Tigers hit 40.9 percent for the game. Princeton tallied 38 points in the paint and had 26 bench points to GU's six.

Adomako is leading the team in scoring with 12.1 ppg and has posted a squad-high 8.3 rpg. Vitalis is second with 10.8 ppg as well as 7.2 rpg and McCormick rounds out the top three with 10.4 ppg.

Georgetown holds a slight +0.3 rebounding margin over opponents and is shooting 35.5 percent on the season.

Senior Lauren Chase matched her career high with 22 points as George Washington held off Fresno State for its fourth-straight win, 73-64, on Saturday afternoon at the Smith Center. At 6-2, GW is off to its best start in eight years.

Chase connected on 8-of-15 attempts, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and she added six assists and two steals. Freshman Kelli Prange scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds off the bench, while junior Jonquel Jones added 12 points, nine boards, three assists and two blocked shots. Sophomore Caira Washington also neared a double-double with nine points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Hoyas are 17-17 all-time against the Colonials and won the last meeting, 78-57, at McDonough Arena a season ago. Five players were in double figures for the Blue & Gray and Andrea White added a double-double. In the last meeting at the Smith Center, GU won, 70-54. Georgetown is 6-9 on the road against George Washington.
