WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Monday after a 1-2 week for the Hoyas (3-12, 1-2 BIG EAST).

Adomako posted a trio of impressive performances last week. The rookie averaged 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists, helping down Marquette University, 83-76, on Friday night in a nationally-televised game.

Following a 13-point, eight-rebound game at Creighton on Tuesday, Adomako blew up over the weekend with a pair of double-doubles. Against Marquette, the freshman helped erase a double-digit deficit en route to a seven-point win with 21 points and 13 rebounds. She followed that showing with a career-high 23 points and 10 rebounds against No. 25/24 DePaul on Sunday.

This is Adomako's second-career rookie of the week honor after earning the award on Nov. 17.
