Oct. 10, 2015 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown women's golf team shot a 19-over par 301 in the second round and the Hoyas are in ninth place among 16 teams after the second day of play at the Yale Women's Intercollegiate, being held in New Haven, Conn.
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
Furman is in first place at 10-over par 578, while Clemson is in second place at 18-over par 586. Vanderbilt and Michigan are tied for third place at 24-over par 592, while Harvard is in fifth place at 34-over par 602. Georgetown is in ninth place at 51-over par 619.
Freshman Christina Parsells (Bernardsville, N.J./Kent Place) shot a 3-over par 74 and is in 17th place at 8-over par 150, leading Georgetown.
Senior co-captain Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) posted a 5-over par 77 on Saturday and is in 45th place at 14-over par 156, while senior Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) is one shot back with a two-round score of 15-over par 157.
Sophomore Jacquelyn Eleey (Quincy, Mass. /The Taft School) posted a 3-over par 74 in the second round to bounce back from a 13-over par 84 in Friday's round. She is in 56th place at 16-over par 158.
Freshman Alexa Popowitz (Boca Raton, Fla./St. Andrew's) is in 65th place at 19-over par 161, while freshman Pendleton Bogache (Myrtle Beach, S.C./Episcopal [Va.]), playing as an individual, shot a 25-over par 167.
