WASHINGTON - Georgetown University volleyball freshman Paige McKnight (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday. The award recognizes McKnight's performance in Georgetown's three BIG EAST matches last week.

McKnight averaged 10.09 assists per set and 2.73 digs per set, leading the Hoyas to a 1-2 record in three matches last week. After recording 26 assists in a three-set match against Creighton, McKnight came back with a 35-assist performance in a three-setter vs. Marquette. She then had 50 assists and a career-high 17 digs as Georgetown ended a three-match losing streak with an exciting five-set win over DePaul. It was her third-career 50-assist performance. McKnight added two service aces in Sunday's win to extend her BIG EAST-leading season total to 31.

Monday was McKnight's first-career BIG EAST weekly honor and the third of the season for Georgetown. Earlier this year, freshman Alyssa Sinnette (Pearland, Texas/Dawson) earned selections to the honor roll in consecutive weeks.

Georgetown will head back out on the road for two BIG EAST matches next weekend. The Hoyas will matchup against Xavier on Friday, October 16 at 3 p.m. before taking on Butler at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 17.
