Oct. 5, 2015 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University volleyball team concludes its three-match road trip on Tuesday night when it travels to Omaha for a match versus Creighton. First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at Creighton's D.J. Sokol Arena.

The Hoyas (7-10, 1-3 BIG EAST) split a pair of nationally-broadcasted matches this past weekend, defeating Providence (3-1) on the BIG EAST Digital Network before falling to St. John's (3-1) on ESPN3. On Friday night at Providence, Alyssa Sinnette (Pearland, Texas/Dawson) and Liv King (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) each had double-double performances while, against St. John's on Saturday, both Lauren Saar (Richland, Mich./Plainwell) and Paige McKnight (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) recorded double-doubles.
Sinnette ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 230 kills and seventh with 3.59 kills per set, both of which lead the Hoyas. McKnight leads the conference with 29 service aces while averaging 9.61 assists per set. Kenzie Higareda (Woodbridge, Va./Forest Park) is tied for third in the BIG EAST with 22 aces and is third with 4.59 digs per set.
Creighton enters Tuesday's match with a 10-7 overall record and a perfect 4-0 mark in BIG EAST play. The Bluejays are riding a five-match winning streak and have won six of their past seven contests. Jaali Winters leads the offense, and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 3.73 kills per set. Lauren Smith is averaging 2.76 kills per set while ranking second in the conference with a .380 hitting percentage and second with 1.24 blocks per set. Kenzie Crawford and Maggie Baumert are both averaging more than 10 assists per set and Kate Elman leads the defense with 3.86 digs per set.
Following Tuesday's match, the Blue & Gray will return home to McDonough Arena for a pair of BIG EAST contests during Homecoming Weekend. Marquette will visit the Hilltop on Friday for a 7 p.m. match before DePaul comes in on Sunday for a 2 p.m. contest.
