Lady Thunderbird Day 2 
The Georgetown University women's golf team finished in fourth place among 14 teams at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational, hosted by Southern Utah University at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.
The Hoyas had an eight-shot lead after firing an 11-over par 299 in the first round, but fell back in the second round with a 30-over par 318.
Georgetown finished in fourth place overall with a 36-hole score of 41-over par 617, eight shots behind winner South Dakota State, who fired a tournament-best 7-over par 295 in the second round and finished at 33-over par 609. Oral Roberts finished in second place at 34-over par 610 and Grand Canyon was third (35-over par 611).
Freshman Jacquelyn Eleey (Quincy, Mass./The Taft School), who had the individual lead after a first round 3-under par 69, tied for second place at 4-over par 148, posting a 7-over par 79 in the second round.
Freshman Lauren Gros (Windermere, Fla./Windermere Prep) tied for eighth place at 7-over par 151 after carding a 7-over par 79 in the second round.
Junior Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) and junior Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) each posted scores of 8-over par 80 in the second round. Lee tied for 39th place at 16-over par 160, while Boydston finished in a tie for 48th place at 18-over par 162.
Sophomore Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) tied for 64th place at 23-over par 167.
The Hoyas are back in action on March 29, hosting the Hoya Invitational at The Members Club at Four Streams.
