Sept. 24, 2015 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team was one of 305 men's programs in the nation to earn the 2014-15 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. The organization annually recognizes those programs that have excelled in the classroom. The Hoyas were one of 208 schools to have both their men's and women's teams honored.
A total of 859 college teams were recognized for having a cumulative grade-point average over a 3.0 for the 2014-15 academic year.
The No. 25 Georgetown University men's soccer squad will host the Providence College Friars (3-1-1, 0-0 BIG EAST) in the BIG EAST Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., at Shaw Field. The Hoyas are currently 4-2-2 on the season.
