Oct. 12, 2016 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team was one of 315 men's programs in the nation to earn the 2015-16 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. The organization annually recognizes those programs that have excelled in the classroom. The Hoyas were one of 221 schools to have both their men's and women's teams honored.
A total of 892 college teams were recognized for having a cumulative grade-point average over a 3.0 for the 2015-16 academic year.
The Hoyas will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 15 as the squad returns home to take on the DePaul University Blue Demons at 1 p.m., at Shaw Field. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser calling the action.
