WASHINGTON - Junior midfielder Christopher Lema (Ridgefield, N.J./St. Stephen's Episcopal School) earned weekly honors on Monday as he helped the Georgetown University men's soccer squad (6-8-2, 3-3-2 BIG EAST) to a 1-0-1 week.

Lema assisted two of the Hoyas three goals in a 3-2 victory over Villanova on Saturday at Shaw Field. His assists came on the first two goals, the equalizer and the go-ahead goal. He also helped the midfield keep the Pirates scoreless in Georgetown's 0-0 draw with Seton Hall, helping the Hoyas stay alive in the playoff picture.

So far in 2016, Lema has started all 16 games for the Blue & Gray, and is third on the team in scoring with one goal and a squad-best five assists for seven points.

This is the first honor roll award of Lema's career. It is also Georgetown's fifth weekly award this season.

The Hoyas will conclude BIG EAST Conference play on Thursday as the squad travels to Omaha, Neb., to take on the Creighton University Bluejays at 8 p.m. ET. A win would earn the Blue & Gray a BIG EAST Championship berth.
