Feb. 17, 2016 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team has announced its 2016 spring schedule. The Hoyas will play a total of five games with a trio against 2015 NCAA Tournament qualifiers and one United Soccer League (USL) squad. The Blue & Gray will be without the six student-athletes from the 2015 campaign who signed with the MLS in Brandon Allen, Alex Muyl, Keegan Rosenberry, Cole Seiler, Josh Turnley and Joshua Yaro.

April 2 -- University of Virginia (Shaw Field) 1 p.m.
April 9 -- University of Maryland (Shaw Field) 11 a.m. // Army West Point (Shaw Field) 1:30 p.m.
April 16 -- Lehigh (Shaw Field) 3 p.m.
April 24 -- University of North Carolina (Striker Park; Richmond, Va.) 2 p.m.
The Hoyas will open with the newly-minted Bethlehem Steel FC, an affiliate of the Philadelphia Union, of the USL on Sunday, March 20. They will play at the PPL Park Training Fields.
On Saturday, April 2, the Hoyas host 2015 NCAA Tournament qualifiers the University of Virginia, at Shaw Field with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. The Cavaliers followed up their 2014 NCAA Championship by advancing to the 2015 NCAA Second Round before falling to Maryland, 1-0.
The Blue & Gray will wait a week before hosting Army West Point on Saturday, April 9 for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff at Shaw Field.
On Saturday, April 16, the Hoyas will host Lehigh University at Shaw Field for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Mountain Hawks qualified for the 2015 NCAA Championships but fell to Hofstra, 2-1, in overtime in the first round.
The Hoyas will close the spring season with the University of North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, April 23, in Richmond, Va., the kickoff time has yet to be determined. The Tar Heels entered the 2015 NCAA Tournament as the fifth seed and advanced to the third round before falling to the Creighton Bluejays of the BIG EAST Conference, 1-0.
The Hoyas had an impressive season with a mark of 16-2-3 overall and 9-0-0 in BIG EAST Conference play, winning both the BIG EAST Conference regular season and championship titles. Georgetown went on a program record 18-game unbeaten streak including a 14-game win streak. With the Blue & Gray failing to advance in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, the unbeaten streak will continue into next season.
