STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Georgetown University men's golf team is eighth overall in the 10-team field at The Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University at the par-71, 7.202 yard Penn State Blue Course. The Hoyas sit at 25-over par 593 after two rounds.
After a morning frost delay, Georgetown carded a team score of 16-over par 300, as all five members of Georgetown's lineup turned in a 4-over par 75. The Blue & Gray responded turning in a 9-over par 293.
Freshman Harrison Rhoades (Raleigh, N.C./Needham Broughton) shot a 3-under par 68 to move into a tie for 11th with a two round total of 1-over par 143. Sophomore Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) is tied for 14th with a 2-over par 144 after 36 holes. Berman shot a 2-under par 69 in the second round.
Sophomore Jack Musgrave, playing as an individual, is tied for 37th after a second round 1-over par 72 gave him a 7-over par 149 after two rounds.
Freshman Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga./The Marist School) is currently tied for 49th with a 10-over par 152, while sophomore Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood [Cardinal Gibbons]) is at 12-over par 154. Junior Austin Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) is currently at 13-over par 155, good for a tie for 55th of 68.
Third and final round action at The Rutherford Intercollegiate is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at the Penn State Blue Course.
